About the role
The Miami Township Police Department in Clermont County, Ohio is seeking a full-time Police Records Clerk. This position reports directly to the Support Services Supervisor and is responsible for performing a variety of police records and information systems work.
Responsibilities
- Creates reports and compiles statistical information.
- Conducts research as needed.
- Completes tasks as directed by the Chief of Police.
- Maintains and processes police records.
- Disseminates and retains police records according to the State of Ohio Public Records Act, the Federal Privacy Act, Uniform Crime Reports, and the LEADS and NCIC systems.
Requirements
- Strong recordkeeping and communication skills.
- Experience and strong knowledge of the State of Ohio Public Records Act, the Federal Privacy Act, Uniform Crime Reports, as well as the LEADS and NCIC systems.
- Comfortable interacting with community members and providing first-class customer service to residents and business community.
- Strong consideration for applicants with experience assisting crime victims.
Qualifications
Applicants must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug testing.
