Police Patrol Officer Lateral Transfer
Requirements
- Lateral applicants must currently be employed full-time as a Peace Officer, hold OPOTA certification, and have at least three (3) years of road patrol experience.
Qualifications
- Good social and general intelligence;
- Able to deal firmly, and courteously with the public;
- Good knowledge of first-aid methods;
- Good judgement;
- Skilled in the use of firearms;
- Able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions;
- Able to drive an automobile under adverse conditions;
- Good powers of agility;
- Excellent physical condition.

Current Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age at time of appointment;
- Must be a U.S. citizen;
- Must possess a valid driver license;
- Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.;
