Police Officer Trainee (PROOF OF PELLET-B T-SCORE REQUIRED)
About the role
The Napa Police Department is seeking individuals with integrity who can demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills under all conditions. They seek leaders who possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to evaluate emergency situations while remaining calm, and the skills to think critically and make sound split-second decisions.
Responsibilities
Police Officer Trainees will learn to protect the community with incredible training, gain another family and a sense of belonging that no other career can offer, and spend their time helping others by making a positive impact on our residents. They will also be paid $34 - $41 per hour and receive benefits while attending the police academy.
Requirements
- Completed Online Employment Application
- Completed Supplemental Questionnaire
- Must have a T-score of 48 or higher on the POST Entry Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLET-B) within the last six (6) months
- Attach a letter verifying your T-Score to your application
- Upcoming Pellet-b Test Dates
- Physical Agility Testing (PAT)
- Background Investigation including a polygraph, psych, and medical examinations

Skills

Benefits
Upon graduation from the police academy and being sworn in as a Police Officer, there is additional pay and benefits. Full-time Police Officers earn a base salary of $115,148 - $147,082 annually, plus enjoy incredible health and retirement benefits.
Pay
Paid $34 - $41 per hour while attending the police academy. Additional pay and benefits upon graduation.
