About the role
The St. Anthony Police Department is expanding its team of 30 sworn officers, offering a career path that emphasizes opportunity, teamwork, and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Work 12-hour patrol shifts (6 AM–6 PM and 6 PM–6 AM) with every other weekend off.
- Pursue specialized assignments including SWAT (tactical and negotiator), Investigations, Ramsey County VCET, grant-funded traffic enforcement details, Drone Team, Peer Support Team, Community Engagement Team, and instructor roles in firearms, defensive tactics, and field training.
Requirements
Officers must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of full-time law enforcement experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must pass a background check, physical fitness test, psychological evaluation, and drug screening.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous experience in SWAT, Investigations, or related fields.
- Experience with firearms, defensive tactics, and field training.
- Knowledge of community policing principles and practices.

Pay
Hiring Incentive (Conditions Apply): $5,000 for New Officers, $10,000 for Lateral Office.
