Responsibilities
- Enforcing protective duties under Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 3056A.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Minimum age of 21, under 40 at referral, with exceptions for certain law enforcement veterans.
- Ability to carry and maintain firearm proficiency.
- Uncorrected visual acuity of 20/100 or better, corrected to 20/20 or better.
- Hearing within specified limits, able to detect whispered voices at 15 feet.
- Pass drug tests and complete extensive training at designated federal law enforcement centers.
- Register with the Selective Service System if applicable.
