About the role

This position is with the Secret Service Police. The Secret Service Police are responsible for protecting the President of the United States and their families, Vice President, their families, and other high-ranking officials. They also provide security for major events and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide security for high-level government officials and events
  • Investigate suspicious activities and conduct patrols in support of assigned missions
  • Respond to emergencies and assist in crisis management
  • Interact with the public and maintain a professional demeanor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to pass a physical fitness test
  • Must be able to pass a polygraph examination
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of progressively responsible law enforcement experience
  • Must have completed a police academy program
  • Must have a valid state police certification
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a federal law enforcement agency
