Police Officer (Lateral Entry)

About the role

The City of East Moline is seeking lateral entry police officers with two (2) years of full-time experience and ILETSB certification or the ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Interviewed by the Fire and Police Commission
• Pass a comprehensive background check
• Pass a pre-employment physical
• No written exam or physical agility test required

Requirements

• Two (2) years full-time experience
• ILETSB certification or the ability to obtain certification

Qualifications

• Qualified officers will enter the East Moline pay scale at an initial hourly rate commensurate with their current experience, not to exceed the tenth year as set by the collective bargaining agreement.
• Immediate receipt of nine (9) personal days upon hire.

Benefits

• A comprehensive job-specific background investigation will be conducted on finalists.
• The investigation is performed by trained investigators within the East Moline Police Department and Human Resources.
