Responsibilities

- Engage in community-oriented policing, traffic enforcement, and special details

Requirements
- Pass the NTN "Frontline National" Test
- Pass the Physical Agility Test
- Pass the Preliminary Interview
- Pass the Background Investigation
- Pass the Psychological Examination
- Pass the Physical Examination
Qualifications
- Be a United States citizen or a permanent legal resident with honorable discharge from the U.S. Armed Forces and pending U.S. citizenship application
- Possess a valid driver's license with no more than 3 points
- Be at least 20 years old and 9 months old upon starting the academy
- Hold a high school diploma or GED certified diploma
- Not have any current court orders related to domestic violence
- Not have any felony or serious misdemeanor convictions
- No current DUI arrests within the past 5 years (60 months)

Provisional Driver's License
Your license must be recorded on your application and verified by the appointing authority. Probationary officers undergo close scrutiny during their one-year probationary period.
