Responsibilities

  • Maintain and advance the Police Department’s accreditation status
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and professional standards
  • Coordinate and document accreditation self-assessments and external reviews
  • Develop and update policies and procedures to meet accreditation requirements
  • Serve as the primary liaison with accrediting bodies and internal stakeholders
  • Track and report compliance metrics and corrective actions
  • Provide training and guidance on accreditation standards and best practices

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; associate degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in law enforcement, public safety, or regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of CALEA, TCOLE, or other recognized accreditation standards
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
