Pole QC Engineer

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Cook up with the Permitting and Project Managers to nail down priorities and standards for pole projects
• Find the right poles and midspans for pole projects
• Generate KMZ’s (Google Earth) for contractor invoicing and projects
• Spot and decipher errors with contractor work that doesn’t align with pole owner/company-established standards
• Pinpoint and interpret Railroad and Highway crossings
• Keep tabs on all upcoming, submitted, and completed work
• Oversee applications submissions by our contract partners to the correct pole entities
• Check and validate contractor invoices for accuracy and submit them to AP for payment
• Ring the alarm bell if there's an issue and escalate it to management promptly
• Participate in contractor meetings and training sessions

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Previous project management experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of IKE, Katapult, and O’Calc is desired
• Strong computer skills, with a focus on Microsoft Excel
• Good knowledge of Aerial Pole Attachment fielding and engineering is required
• Good written & verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Priority & deadline-driven
• Detail-oriented with exceptional team-building skills
• Strong initiative and ability to follow direction
