As a utility pole inspection crew member, you will learn and work in providing routine maintenance and remedial treatment of wood poles used to carry power lines and other above-ground utility lines. You will also gain experience identifying any decay or defects.
We provide Paid On-The-Job Training, hotel accommodations, per-diem, performance incentives, and transportation from starting point to remote locations. PPE is provided, including hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, and work gloves. You will be required to provide acceptable workwear and boots with a hard toe.
Responsibilities
- Complete routine maintenance and remedial treatment of wood poles
- Maintain all tools, vehicles, and equipment
- Achieve expected safety, quality, and production goals
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read maps and navigate in congested areas
- Mechanically inclined and experience with a variety of tools preferred but not required
- Minimum 40-hour workweek with Saturdays considered inclement weather make-up days
- Must adhere to all Company policies and procedures
- Willing to travel locally, statewide, and regionally as needed (overnight stays required; paid hotel accommodations and per-diem provided)
- Driver License preferred but not required
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check

Pay
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience, plus performance-driven incentives.
