Point of Care Educator
About the role
The Point of Care Educator at MultiCare is responsible for developing, conducting, and evaluating training on moderate and waived complexity testing. This role also involves interpreting and reviewing policies and procedures, serving as a resource for clinicians, educators, and management regarding regulatory requirements, scheduling training, and identifying educational needs for staff.
Requirements
- Four (4) years combined relevant teaching and experience in area of expertise
- Current Washington Drivers License
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- Clinical Laboratory experience: including test performance, quality control procedures and documentation, and specimen collection including capillary and venipuncture
- Associates degree in related health care field, or the equivalent in Applied Technology or Science preferred
- Bachelor of Science preferred
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Technologist (MT, or MLS (ASCP) preferred
Qualifications
This position is an intermediate-level role, working under limited supervision. It requires moderate problem-solving and analytical skills.
Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and ability to teach effectively are also important.

Pay
The pay scale for this position ranges from $59,092.80 to $85,051.20 USD. Pay is influenced by factors such as years of experience, skill set, and certification(s) and/or education.
Schedule
The Position is a Full-Time (FTE) role with a Day shift from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
