Point of Care Ambulatory Lab Supervisor

About the role

Provides technical and regulatory oversight for the Point of Care (POC) testing program across BayCare's ambulatory settings. Ensures high-quality patient testing through compliance with regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP...), staff training and competency, quality assurance, and continuous process improvement. Collaborates with laboratory leadership, ambulatory leadership, providers, nursing, vendors and other interdisciplinary teams to support safe, accurate, and efficient POC testing services. Assists with special projects and other duties assigned by the Scientific Director in support of organizational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and regulatory oversight for the Point of Care (POC) testing program in ambulatory settings
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, etc.)
• Oversee staff training and competency assessments
• Implement quality assurance and continuous process improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with laboratory leadership, ambulatory leadership, providers, nursing, vendors, and interdisciplinary teams
• Support safe, accurate, and efficient POC testing services
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the Scientific Director

Requirements

• 4 years of clinical laboratory-related experience
• Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or Clinical Science
• Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Shift hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• No weekend work
