Responsibilities

• Provide foot and ankle care in a clinic setting; hospital staff membership expected
• Assess patients presenting lower extremity complaints, review medical history, listen to concerns, perform physical examinations, order appropriate imaging or labs, and develop and implement a clinical plan of care
• Provide comprehensive podiatric care, including at-risk foot care, painful foot and ankle conditions, trauma, wound care, and surgical management when appropriate
• Perform surgical services based on scope, education, training, and experience
• Administer advice and instructions on foot care, educate patients and families about wellness, medication usage, side effects, adherence, and prevention
• Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation consistent with state regulations and Upperline Health standards
• Participate in continuing education as required by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine
• Prescribe medication as permitted by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine
• Other related duties as deemed necessary

Requirements

• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree with appropriate certification and licensure
• DPM license required—active license preferred or ability to obtain within applicable timeframe
• Strong compassion for patients and their families
• Possession of DEA registration or eligibility required
• CPR certification, consistent with state Board of Podiatric Medicine requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
