About the role

Upperline Health is seeking a well-trained Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) to provide foot and ankle care in a clinic setting in London, Kentucky. The candidate must demonstrate compassion for patient needs, have great attention to detail, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients presenting lower extremity complaints, review medical history, listen to concerns, perform physical examinations, order appropriate imaging or medical labs, and develop a clinical plan of care.
  • Provide comprehensive podiatric care including examination, at-risk foot care, painful foot and ankle conditions, trauma, wound care, and surgical management when appropriate.
  • Administer advice and instructions on foot care, educate patients and families about general wellness care, medication usage, side effects, medical adherence, and prevention.
  • Maintain patient medical records and documentation consistent with state regulations and Upperline Health standards and policies.
  • Pursue continuing education as required by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine.
  • Prescribe medication as permitted by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine.
  • Perform other related duties as deemed necessary.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree with appropriate certification and licensure.
  • DPM license required - active license preferred or the ability to obtain within applicable timeframe.
  • Strong compassion for patients and their families.
  • DEA registration or eligibility required.
  • CPR certification expected, consistent with the requirements of the state Board of Podiatric Medicine.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a clinic setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of podiatric medicine and surgery.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
