Podcast Studio Assistant

Location: Greater Pittsburgh, PA area
Terms: Part-Time Contract
Base Pay: $15/hour

About the role

Undivided Life is seeking a reliable and technically capable production assistant to support the in-studio recording of one of our podcast clients in the Greater Pittsburgh area. This is an in-person role requiring up to a few hours each week, primarily around scheduled recording sessions.

Responsibilities

• Set up the podcast studio before recording sessions.
• Prepare and test microphones, headphones, cameras, lighting, and other recording equipment.
• Check audio and video levels and confirm equipment is working properly.
• Help hosts and guests get situated before recording.
• Start, monitor, and stop recordings using the studio's equipment and software.
• Troubleshoot basic audio, video, internet, or equipment issues.
• Organize and reset the studio after each recording session.
• Save, transfer, or upload recorded files according to the production workflow.
• Communicate any equipment problems or production needs to the broader podcast team.

Requirements

• Dependable and punctual.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Technically inclined and willing to learn new equipment.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Able to troubleshoot basic issues.
• Professional and welcoming when interacting with clients and guests.
• Available for a few hours each week with some flexibility around recording schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience with podcasting, audio engineering, videography, photography, livestreaming, church AV, campus media, or studio production is helpful but not required.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• High school education.

Schedule

Up to 6 hours per week (10-15 hours per month), depending on the recording schedule. The work will be completed in person in the Pittsburgh area.
