About the Role

The Podcast Editor will be responsible for editing and producing episodes for the Focus On Women podcast, ensuring high-quality audio and a cohesive narrative that aligns with the organization’s mission.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and mix up to 4 episodes per month (audio only)
  • Add intro, outro, and music
  • Clean audio and enhance sound quality
  • Upload episodes to hosting platform and write short show notes
  • Help create short clips for social media

This is a remote job position.

Qualifications

  • Strong audio editing and mixing skills, including proficiency with digital audio workstations (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Reaper)
  • Skills in sound design and audio enhancement, such as noise reduction, equalization, compression, and mastering for spoken-word content
  • Experience in podcast production workflows, including organizing raw recordings, structuring episodes, and preparing files for distribution
  • Project and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple episodes, and collaborate effectively in a remote environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to take direction, offer creative suggestions, and work respectfully with a diverse, mission-driven team
  • Familiarity with the commercial photography, production, or creative industries is beneficial
  • Prior experience editing interview-based or narrative podcasts is a plus
  • Reliable internet access and comfort with online collaboration tools
  • Commitment to supporting female-identifying creatives and inclusive storytelling
