PromiseStudios | Creative, Media & Production
PromiseStudios is MAP’s creative division responsible for media, storytelling, and production. Within the division, PromisePod leads podcast development—creating content that is engaging, meaningful, and aligned with MAP’s voice and mission.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Podcast Audio Engineer to ensure high-quality sound production across MAP’s podcast content. This role focuses on recording quality, sound clarity, mixing, and mastering—ensuring that every episode meets professional audio standards and delivers a strong listening experience.
Key Responsibilities
Audio Recording & Setup
- Support recording sessions (remote or in-person) with proper audio setup
- Troubleshoot audio issues during recording
Editing, Mixing & Mastering
- Edit raw audio for clarity, pacing, and quality
- Remove background noise, interruptions, and inconsistencies
- Mix and master episodes to consistent volume and sound standards
Sound Quality & Consistency
- Maintain consistent audio quality across all episodes
- Ensure episodes meet platform standards (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.)
- Develop and maintain audio quality guidelines
Post-Production Workflow
- Collaborate with podcast editors and producers on timelines and deliverables
- Prepare final audio files for publishing
- Maintain organized audio files and version control
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience in audio engineering, sound editing, or podcast production
- Proficiency with audio software (e.g., Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and sound quality
- Ability to manage audio workflows and timelines
- Alignment with MAP’s mission and dignity-centered values
Preferred:
- Experience working on podcasts or spoken-word content
- Knowledge of audio mastering standards for streaming platforms
- Experience with remote recording tools (e.g., Riverside, Zoom, etc.)
- Understanding of storytelling through audio
