PMO Manufacturing Network Project Engineer
About the role
The PMO Manufacturing Network Project Engineer position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. You will lead and/or support network projects with multi-disciplinary teams, integrate manufacturing and laboratory business issues/needs into project planning, analyze and/or control project costs and schedules, and present project status and results to business partners, suppliers, team members, and appropriate management.
Responsibilities
Support or Manage Scoping and Execution of Projects. Increased project management responsibility for manufacturing, laboratory and other facilities through organization and direction of multi-disciplinary teams. Proactively addresses business and technical issues for early identification of issues affecting project success. Leads coordination of complex project timelines. Negotiates and consults with business partners, suppliers, plant and engineering personnel, as well as the appropriate management regarding project status, timelines, and cost.
Financial Responsibility. Manages financial aspects of a project team, including estimating expenditures, contributing to the creation of AFE, purchasing materials and/or services, monitoring and tracking costs, and payment. Proficient in engineering, sourcing, and financial systems to stay within established budget guidelines.
Intellectual Property, Regulations, and Compliance. Protects 3M Intellectual Property through the understanding and appropriate use of competitive technology awareness, government regulation awareness, supplier/consultant agreements, records of invention, patents, and technical notebooks. Contributes to the development of proprietary positions. Follows and promotes corporate business conduct, safety, health, and environmental policies and practices, including Engineering guidelines, standards, and specifications.
Leadership. Manages business relationships across multi-disciplinary teams. Provides guidance and training to interns, new hires and other engineers. Participates in and leads teams. Applies working knowledge of key corporate initiatives and appropriate tools. Participates in Engineering Manufacturing Technology Organization (EMTO)/Engineering Manufacturing Technology Chapters (EMTC) activities. May participate in or lead standards/guidelines teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Three (3) years of Supply Chain in a private, public, government or military environment
- Five (5) years of Global Supply Chain in a private, public, government or military environment (additional qualifications)

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $124,127 - $151,710, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
Schedule
Onsite at least 4 days a week in office. Travel: May include up to 25%
