Job Summary

This position provides outpatient psychiatric care and mental health treatment to patients seen in a Huntsman Mental Health Institute Outpatient Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Preforming mental health evaluations
• Diagnosing
• Creating treatment plans
• Triaging
• Making referrals when appropriate
• Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary treatment team
• Prescribing medication
• Providing psychotherapy and safety planning

Requirements

• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system
• Valid registered license in the state where they intend to practice as an advanced practice psychiatric mental health nurse and ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• 2 years of ambulatory mental health experience preferred
• 2 years of direct, semi-independent, patient care in an ambulatory mental health outpatient facility preferred
