PM Traffic Anchor / Reporter
Responsibilities
- Prepare afternoon/evening report with dynamic graphics
- News gather for traffic reports
- Provide concise live traffic reports for afternoon/evening shows
- Research and report up-to-the-minute traffic conditions
- Communicate important traffic information to the show producers and show anchors promptly
- Maintain accuracy of corresponding graphics, video, and live shots
- Present traffic information to viewers through digital platforms including our station website, mobile app, and social media pages
- Produce transportation-related stories
- Anchor breaking news updates through the afternoon newscast, at the direction of news management
Qualifications
- Professional or college experience as a journalist and storyteller in a commercial television station
- Experience using traffic systems preferred
- Clear speech, basic knowledge of how to use a computer and basic knowledge of social media
- Familiarity with street and highway names and directions; quick to learn
- Must be creative and work well with others
