PM Technician

About the role

Circle K is looking for a Preventative Maintenance Technician in the Umatilla area of Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning and performing preventative maintenance
• Maintains facilities by performing light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, cleaning, lighting
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs
• Ensures preventative repairs are performed cost effectively by examining records, reports operating practices and other documentation
• Participate in training classes for existing and new equipment
• Ensures maintenance operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operation policies and procedures
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Maintain a professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by abiding to safety policies and procedures; ensuring compliance with federal, state and local requirements
• Increases professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing financial and key result area targets pursuant to company plan guidelines

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
• 3–5 years’ experience in maintenance field or more preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience in plumbing or HVAC/refrigeration preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and be insurable as a driver.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities and ability to work independently.
• Highly organized and work well under pressure/deadlines with the ability to multi-task.
• Must be computer literate in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Physical Requirements

• Sit for long periods of time.
• Operate computer keyboard and mouse for data entry.
• View computer monitor.
• Hear and speak via telephone.
• Reach forward and/or overhead.
• Occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to crouch, crawl, push, pull, bend, stoop and/or reach.
• Ability to carry, erect and climb ladders.

Work Environment

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at a normal range.
• The lighting will include natural light from the outside as well as fluorescent lighting throughout the work areas.
• Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.

Pay

Hourly $22.50
