About the role
Circle K is looking for a Preventative Maintenance Technician in the Umatilla area of Oregon.
Responsibilities
- Maintains equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning and performing preventative maintenance
- Maintains facilities by performing light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, cleaning, lighting
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs
- Ensures preventative repairs are performed cost effectively by examining records, reports operating practices and other documentation
- Participate in training classes for existing and new equipment
- Ensures maintenance operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operation policies and procedures
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Maintain a professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by abiding to safety policies and procedures; ensuring compliance with federal, state and local requirements
- Increases professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing financial and key result area targets pursuant to company plan guidelines
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
- 3–5 years’ experience in maintenance field or more preferred.
- 1–2 years’ experience in plumbing or HVAC/refrigeration preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and be insurable as a driver.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities and ability to work independently.
- Highly organized and work well under pressure/deadlines with the ability to multi-task.
- Must be computer literate in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Physical Requirements
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Operate computer keyboard and mouse for data entry.
- View computer monitor.
- Hear and speak via telephone.
- Reach forward and/or overhead.
- Occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.
- Ability to crouch, crawl, push, pull, bend, stoop and/or reach.
- Ability to carry, erect and climb ladders.
Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at a normal range.
- The lighting will include natural light from the outside as well as fluorescent lighting throughout the work areas.
- Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.
Pay
Hourly $22.50
