PM Line Cooks

Duties & Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
• Extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients
• Read printed tickets carefully with attention to detail
• Accurately produce orders following recipe guidelines and ticket specifications
• Maintain temperature and cooking times while taking personal pride in every item delivered for service
• Operate kitchen equipment safely
• Properly handle and rotate food according to food service codes
• Promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a Manager
• Communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
• Complete all opening, closing, and side duties
• Assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed
• Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card (or willing to obtain one)
• Experience is preferred; however, this is a teaching kitchen, and we are willing to take on the right candidate with a positive attitude in place of experience
• There are ample growth opportunities for the right candidate

Skills, Abilities & Work Conditions

• Stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
• Work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
• Lift and Carry 30+ lbs
• Work in hot and humid environments
• Have good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
• Self-motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
• Multitask and retain multiple called ticket items
• Basic knowledge of kitchen terminology and knife skills
