PM Janitorial Supervisor

Monday - Friday 5pm - 11:30pm (Additional hours available with projects requested by client)

About the role

The Janitorial Supervisor at Velociti Services is responsible for leading a team of cleaners in their cleaning tasks. The supervisor ensures all work areas are cleaned to Velociti Services and client standards, responds to clients' inquiries and specific requests, and communicates these requests to their teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of all cleaning staff focusing on their performance in terms of standards of cleanliness and their behavior while on duty
• Possess excellent communication skills in speaking, writing, and listening
• Have good interpersonal attributes, such as being easily approachable
• Be outstanding in organization and coordination of both humans and their activities
• Ensure a best-in-class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the worksite/building
• Review work schedules
• Keep track of inventory, order cleaning materials/supplies and equipment
• Maintain monitoring of all cleaning activities
• Ensure all staff are aware of the Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Quickly resolve disputes between staff
• Train new employees
• Fill in / General Cleaning as needed
• Communicate with management
• Resolve any complaints and conflicts
• Discipline and reward employees
• Maintain good relationships with customers
• Conduct worksite inspections
• Other duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

• Fluent bilingual: English/Spanish
• Team player with a positive attitude and ability to maintain a positive attitude and restore morale to a team
• Previous experience in a cleaning environment
• Previous experience in managing a team
• The ability to implement and adhere to standards and procedures
• The ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
• The ability to process negative feedback and remain professional
• The ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
• The ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Attention to detail
• A passion for customer service
• Accountability and dependability in all that you do
• A high school graduate or higher preferred
• Valid driver's license and MVR required

Physical Requirements

• Lift boxes and packages weighing up to 60 pounds
• Lift, bend, squat, and stretch to move boxes, parcels, and shipments
• Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times a day
• Standing for extended periods of time
