About the role
The Plumbing Install Mechanic provides installation of plumbing systems, primarily water heaters, to residential and/or commercial customers. The role may also include troubleshooting, maintenance, and service of plumbing systems. Maintains good customer relations and applies technical skills and a general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations to all work.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy work, including working in crawl spaces, rafters, attics, roofs, and confined spaces to perform installations.
- Lift or carry heavy objects of 60-100 lbs or more, such as water heaters, tubs, and materials.
- Climb ladders, work overhead, manipulate and maneuver tools.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, and pulling required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience changing out electric and gas water heaters.
- Tankless water heater experience is a plus.
- Texas Plumbing Licensing Required (Tradesman, Journeyman, or above).
- Basic plumbing capabilities and knowledge of local and national plumbing code desired.
- Valid driver’s license required.
