Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of plumbing surveyors in conducting on-site inspections and surveys to verify plumbing installations comply with regulations and design specifications
- Review plumbing design plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and provide feedback to project managers and design teams
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to establish project timelines and schedules for plumbing surveying activities
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues or concerns related to plumbing installations
- Cookordinate with external stakeholders, such as subcontractors and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance with plumbing codes and regulations
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation on plumbing survey findings, including any non-compliance issues and recommended corrective actions
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams regarding plumbing design requirements and installation best practices
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in plumbing technology and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices are implemented on projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field ((Candidates without a bachelor’s degree must have at least 10 years of experience. Four of the ten years of experience may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis))
- Proven experience in plumbing surveying, preferably in a construction management or consulting environment
- Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes, regulations, and design requirements
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
- Proficient in using plumbing surveying tools and equipment, such as laser levels and measuring devices
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and address plumbing installation issues promptly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
- Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant software applications
