Plumbing Superintendent

Overview

The Plumbing Superintendent is responsible for providing leadership and direction for day-to-day field operations of the assigned projects, maximizing overall business objectives and ensuring maximum profitability.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure work environment through maintaining safety meetings, incident investigations, and employee involvement.
• Provides key leadership direction for field operations on a project to ensure a cohesive team in conjunction with project management.
• Covers coordination and supervision of all construction activities.
• Manages field personnel priorities relating to technical ability and staffing levels to gain greater efficiencies to improve customer satisfaction and reduce cost.
• Coordinates and supervises all construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget.
• This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities.
• Performs material take-offs, orders tools, materials, and equipment.
• Coordinates installation between trades and coordinates subcontractor progress.
• Ensures all on-site employees comply with OSHA standards and company work rules.
• Schedules equipment deliveries with the General Contractor and periodic inspections by governing authorities.
• Ensures compliance with state, local, and federal legal requirements.
• Ensures the quality of work to corporate standards and project requirements.
• Conducts staff meetings for foremen and field personnel, addressing management issues as well as safety and productivity improvements.
• Responsible for projects' financial labor, material, and other cost-type budgets and goals.
• Works with the project team to ensure start-up and commissioning is executed in accordance with company and project standards.
• Aids in coordinating and quality assurance of drafting resources and fabrication/manufacturing on the project.
• Maintains company culture.
• Implements field productivity improvements, assures project compliance and quality assurance.
• Maintains customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of verifiable experience as a Plumbing Superintendent.
• At least 5 years of experience in LARGE ($20M+) commercial construction (hospitals, high-rise hotels, casino's, office buildings, etc.).
• Must have med-gas experience.
• At least 6 months of safety training.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Pay

Pay Range: USD $88,380.00 - USD $117,970.00 /Yr.
