Position Summary: As a Plumbing Pre-Apprentice, you will help Blue Sky's Plumbing Division and Plumbing Professionals with a variety of essential tasks, while also learning more about the plumbing trade and best practices. This role requires performing physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting, bending, and twisting to maneuver materials. This role provides a path to becoming a Plumbing Professional here at Blue Sky. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Parts Delivery: Safely deliver materials and equipment to field professionals, ensuring timely and efficient serviceLoad and unload new and used water heaters, ensuring proper handling and safety protocolsAssist with the installation and removal of equipment and materials as neededDeliver ladders and equipment to job sites, providing on-site support for safety and operational needsTransport rock buckets, pallets, and other materials to designated locationsReturn unused or excess materials to vendors in a timely mannerCoordinate materials and parts pickups, ensuring accurate and efficient retrieval Support: Assist with the auditing and inventory of materials to ensure accuracy and availabilityRestock plumbing kits as required to maintain operational efficiencyDeliver municipal permits, ensuring compliance with local regulationsRetrieve materials ordered from vendors and organize them for easy access and stagingLoad rock cages with filled buckets, ensuring proper handling and preparationPlace ordered materials into designated restock bins for plumbing professionals, ensuring timely and organized replenishment Driver Responsibilities: Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of materials to designated locations, in compliance with all traffic laws and company regulationsMaintain a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and ensure any problems are reported to the fleet departmentUphold company policies and safety procedures during transit to ensure secure and timely deliveriesMust be able to competently operate a standard size pickup truck Qualifications: Comfortable performing physical labor in various weather conditionsStrong work ethic, dependability, and a positive attitudeAbility to follow directions and work as part of a teamValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to lift 80+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasksPass a drug test & background checkMust understand English in a competent manner in order to clearly communicate questions, instructions or safety concerns to coworkers and supervisorA valid driver's license and clean MVRAbility to perform multiple technical tasks to include operating equipment, adhering to safety practices, and planning/managing difficult tasksGood mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsBasic math and measurement skillsAbility to follow instructions and work well as part of a teamPhysical fitness and the ability to work in various conditions, including tight spaces, heights and hot and cold temperaturesStrong work ethic, reliability, and punctualityWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends Benefits 401(k) 4% MatchCompany truckDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountFuel cardHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceReferral programRetirement planTools providedVision insurance
