About the Role

R&R Septic Services of Carroll, Iowa specializes in servicing and cleaning modular wastewater treatment installations, such as AdvanTex® systems, using the JM-1000 Mini-Jet™ from General Pipe Cleaners. This role involves maintaining and cleaning decentralized modular septic systems for residential subdivisions, apartments, golf courses, RV parks, campgrounds, and other rural areas not served by municipal treatment plants.

The position focuses on productivity and efficiency, utilizing advanced equipment to perform fast, reliable, and thorough septic system maintenance under fixed-price contracts.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service modular septic system filter pods using the JM-1000 Mini-Jet™ water jetter.
• Clear sludge, sediment, grease, and ice from small (1-1/2 to 3 inch) drain lines up to 50 feet long.
• Navigate and clean pipes with twists and turns efficiently using specialized nozzle heads.
• Perform multiple septic system services in a single day, optimizing time and productivity.
• Operate equipment safely and effectively, including handling the portable JM-1000 Mini-Jet for one-person jobs.
• Maintain and utilize equipment such as stainless steel braid hose and pulse technology for improved performance.
• Service a variety of drain cleaning jobs, including inside residential and commercial drains.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience or familiarity with septic system maintenance and cleaning.
• Ability to operate high-pressure water jetters and related equipment.
• Knowledge of small-diameter drain line cleaning techniques.
• Physical ability to handle portable equipment (23 lb tool) and perform one-person operations.
• Attention to detail for thorough cleaning of septic system components.
• Understanding of safety protocols for equipment operation, including GFCI and water flow sensors.
• Ability to work efficiently under fixed-price contracts to maintain profitability.
