About the role
Our Journeyman Plumber will install and maintain commercial and residential plumbing on boilers, water lines, sanitary and grease lines, and building storm systems.
Responsibilities
- Installs and maintains commercial plumbing systems.
- Performs routine maintenance/repairs on boilers, water lines, sanitary and grease lines, and building storm systems.
- Inspects and tests systems to determine condition and needed repairs.
- Addresses customer concerns with their current plumbing.
- Complies with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
- Records and reports all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
- Tests systems for leaks.
- Recommends, develops, or performs preventative or general maintenance procedures, such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, lubricating parts, or replacement of parts.
- Assists with other work in coordination with repair and maintenance teams.
- Participates in monthly safety program duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of apprenticeship program.
- Knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques, and local plumbing codes and standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal team and customers.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems, follow written and verbal instructions, read written reference materials, and perform math.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willing to undergo a background check and motor vehicle report.
- Drug Testing may be required.
Physical Demands
- Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools, recovery equipment, and various other plumbing equipment.
- Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials.
- Requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
- Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of medium work.
Work Environment
This job operates both in teams and alone in all environments, which includes extreme cold or heat depending on the time of year. Vehicles are used as a base of operations.

Pay
Union Scale $62.00/hour
