Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Support commercial construction projects by installing plumbing systems.
- Install plumbing systems from underground/rough-ins to trim outs on large scale commercial and industrial construction projects such as healthcare, government, educational, manufacturing, data centers, and others.
- Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications required for each job site to accurately install systems.
- Install copper, steel, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and other piping.
- Perform duties such as setting grease traps, decontamination tanks, oil interceptors, lint interceptors, utility hookups, etc.
- Able to work from ladders and man lifts from various heights and operate the equipment as needed.
- Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.
Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications
- 1 - 3 years of commercial plumbing experience preferred.
- Valid / current journeyman plumbing license preferred.
- Medical Gas Certification, or ability to obtain, preferred.
- Experience leading / coaching an apprentice and/or helper preferred.
- OSHA 10 hour preferred.
- Able to work from ladders and man lifts from various heights and operate the equipment as needed.
Additional Requirements
- Must complete company specific welding, soldering and/or brazing test for employment.
- Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.
- Maintain a positive, cooperative, and teachable attitude.
- Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.
- Excellent communication and customer services skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Complies and promotes company Safety Policy.
- Must be able to work independently with and without supervision.
- Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materials.
- Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening.
- Ability to pass MVR check (if applicable) or must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a physical ability test.
- Ability to travel, as needed, for projects.
