About the role
A Journeyman Plumber is a skilled professional with multiple years of experience. Plumbing pros work with apprentices with minimal direct supervision, installing various plumbing equipment and fixture components.
Responsibilities
- Lay out and install commercial plumbing in a wide variety of job settings.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles.
- Install hangers to hold pipes in place.
- Work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roof.
- Install plumbing fixtures.
- Use a variety of power & hand tools.
- Brazing copper.
- Complete testing to ensure proper installation.
- Help teach Apprentices on the job site.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Commercial Plumbing experience.
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- Must be able to keep a drug-free workplace.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Work as a team.
- Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.
- Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
- Willing to be cross-trained in different trades.
- Work efficiently in confined spaces.
- Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
- Exercise fine motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.
Qualifications
Skilled in commercial plumbing, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to work in various conditions and environments, including heights and confined spaces. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and work as part of a team.
