Plumbing Inspector
About the Role
The City of Saint Paul Department of Safety and Inspections is hiring an individual to perform full performance inspections work. This role ensures that plumbing and drainage alterations and installations comply with approved plans and specifications, adhering to the Minnesota Plumbing Code, the Minnesota State Building Code, and Saint Paul Regional Water Service Codes.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and report on installations and alterations of plumbing work to ensure approved materials are used and proper workmanship is performed.
- Issue orders and enforce corrections on non-compliant items.
- Perform tests of plumbing installations, equipment, and materials.
Requirements
- Five years of experience as a State of Minnesota licensed journey level or master plumber.
- Must possess and maintain a State of Minnesota Plumber License (journey or master level).
- Journey or master level competency card issued by the City of Saint Paul.
- Certificate of competency as a backflow tester within one year of hire.
- A valid Minnesota Class D Driver’s License or equivalent out-of-state driver’s license.

Pay
$65.55 per hour.
Schedule

- Full-time, on-site position.
