We are seeking an ambitious Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer to join our team in our Washington, DC area office located in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform surveys
  • Layout and sizing of plumbing and fire protection systems
  • Equipment layout and sizing
  • Determine schedules and details required for the project
  • Ensure flow of information between disciplines
  • Aid in writing reports and feasibility studies
  • Review shop drawings with project engineer
  • Field contractors' questions

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with all phases of building design
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes and NFPA standards
  • Ability to clearly communicate with clients and team members
  • General knowledge of applicable codes
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or AE Engineering preferred
