We are seeking an ambitious Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer to join our team in our Washington, DC area office located in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities
- Perform surveys
- Layout and sizing of plumbing and fire protection systems
- Equipment layout and sizing
- Determine schedules and details required for the project
- Ensure flow of information between disciplines
- Aid in writing reports and feasibility studies
- Review shop drawings with project engineer
- Field contractors' questions
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with all phases of building design
- Knowledge of plumbing codes and NFPA standards
- Ability to clearly communicate with clients and team members
- General knowledge of applicable codes
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or AE Engineering preferred
