The Plumbing Shop Fabricator plays a crucial role behind the scenes, turning plans into reality by crafting high‑quality assemblies that keep field installations moving efficiently. From reading blueprints and cutting pipe to assembling systems and preparing deliveries, this role requires precision, a strong mechanical mindset, and a commitment to craftsmanship. Working in a fast‑paced, team‑driven shop environment, you’ll support large‑scale projects by ensuring all prefabricated components meet code, fit specifications, and are delivered on time. Your attention to detail and ability to produce clean, accurate work directly impacts jobsite productivity and project success.

Position Summary

Performs the full range of duties for plumbing in the construction, finishing, repair, and related activities of buildings.

Responsibilities

• Perform trade‑specific tasks on a construction site.
• Oversee the productivity of crew and ensure schedules and deadlines are met.
• Perform layout activities as needed.
• Conduct material takeoffs when necessary.
• Handle trade‑related material, tool, and equipment requisitions.
• Perform planned maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Execute equipment start‑up with associated documentation.
• Conduct quality control inspections.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and diagnostics when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
• Good physical condition and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Good dexterity and eye‑hand coordination.
• Aptitude for technical problem‑solving.
• Familiarity with building codes and current laws/regulations.
• Ability to maintain a clean and orderly tools/work area.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of trade tools, equipment, and materials.
• Keen eye for detail.

Minimum Physical Requirements

• Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy, and hazardous areas.
• Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces, or other adverse locations.
• Climb, balance, squat, kneel, and crouch.
• Work in all types of weather.
• Ability to lift, move, and/or carry 50 lb.

Schedule

Monday – Friday: 5:00 am – 3:30 pm
