About the role
The successful candidate will lead the design, layout, and routing of industrial plumbing systems. They will prepare P&IDs, drawings, plans, sections, and construction details. The role involves supporting projects through planning, conceptual design, and detailed design phases. Coordination with clients, contractors, and internal project teams is also required. The candidate must apply their plumbing design expertise and code knowledge to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, layout, and routing of industrial plumbing systems.
- Prepare P&IDs, drawings, plans, sections, and construction details.
- Support projects through planning, conceptual design, and detailed design phases.
- Cook up coordination with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Apply plumbing design expertise and code knowledge to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience using AutoCAD for design work.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience using Revit.
- At least 5 years of experience designing industrial plumbing systems, including system layout and routing.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. plumbing codes, including the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC).
- Experience supporting complex industrial facilities, including semiconductor manufacturing, cleanrooms, data centers, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
- Technical certificate or Associate's degree in a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently complete design packages with minimal supervision.
