About the role
This Plumbing Designer will develop plumbing designs in support of various Garver Buildings Business Line projects. Specific responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
- Developing plumbing designs for building domestic water systems, sanitary sewer systems, and roof/storm drain systems.
- Coordinating with project teams on design, delivery, and construction phases.
- Managing project budgets and schedules.
- Designing plumbing systems throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual to construction phases.
- Utilizing BIM design software and software-based calculation tools for design calculations.
- Managing multiple assignments concurrently.
- Fulfilling time management and product quality responsibilities.
- Following quality assurance and quality control plans.
- Continuing education based on project needs and overall team needs.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of building plumbing system design and construction experience.
- Knowledge of building plumbing system principles.
- Proven experience with plumbing system designs, including detailed plans and specifications.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Preferred Skills
- Medical gas system design experience.
- Petroleum, oil, and lubricating (POL) design experience.
- Food service plumbing systems design experience.
- Fire sprinkler system design experience.
- Experience with AIA MasterSpec.
