Plumbing Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems for various building projects.
• Perform load calculations and system analysis.
• Select and size plumbing equipment and systems.
• Develop construction documents, drawings, and specifications using Revit.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and industry standards.
• Coordinate with other departments and teams throughout the design process.
• Assist with site visits as necessary.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience in plumbing design for buildings.
• Experience supporting projects from schematic design to construction documents.
• Ability to perform load calculations and system analysis.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards (IPC/UPC, IBC standards).

Additional Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3-6+ years of MEP/AEC plumbing design experience.
• Certification preferred.
• LEED Accreditation is a plus.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam and/or Newforma is beneficial.
• Commercial or high-rise/multi-building residential experience is highly preferred.

Job Type & Location: Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.62 - $52.40/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
