Plumber Top Helper - Construction

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of blueprints and submittals as well as sequencing aspects of installation of all plumbing, including roof drains, rough in, and setting fixtures.
• General knowledge of code requirements and limitations.
• Knowledge of the different types of pipe, valves, fittings, as well as their function within the system.
• Must be able to work independently, and be able to solve small problem situations that occur during normal coordination with other trades.
• Should be professional at all times.
• Plumber will be the instructor to the plumbing helpers assigned to them.
• Will need to be familiar with all safety items.
• Licensed to operate all equipment necessary to perform your job.
• Will be expected to repair, cap, and test all types of plumbing piping in a normal commercial installation, and any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
• Must have knowledge of all craft related tools, equipment, and the safe operation of such.
• Must have knowledge of all occupational hazards, from ladders to ditches.

Job Requirements/Special Skills

• Requires working in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.
