Plumber - Rotational
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Locate and repair plumbing problems in NSB and approved residential buildings in accordance with mechanical and plumbing codes.
- Install and repair plumbing fixtures.
- Monitor pressure gages while filling pipe system with water or air to determine whether system's leaking.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on NSB facilities and residential buildings.
- Periodically perform carpentry and basic maintenance tasks.
- Travel to and work within NSB villages to perform services as required.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of Borough policies and procedures.
- Skills in the use of tools, materials, and equipment used in the plumbing trade.
Education, Experience, Certifications And Licenses
- High school graduate or G.E.D./A combination of 12 years of education and related work experience.
- Two years of plumbing maintenance experience; State of Alaska Plumber Certification or License required; Valid Alaska Driver's License that meets North Slope Borough insurance criteria.
