Plumber - Rotational

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Locate and repair plumbing problems in NSB and approved residential buildings in accordance with mechanical and plumbing codes.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures.
• Monitor pressure gages while filling pipe system with water or air to determine whether system's leaking.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on NSB facilities and residential buildings.
• Periodically perform carpentry and basic maintenance tasks.
• Travel to and work within NSB villages to perform services as required.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Knowledge of Borough policies and procedures.
• Skills in the use of tools, materials, and equipment used in the plumbing trade.

Education, Experience, Certifications And Licenses

• High school graduate or G.E.D./A combination of 12 years of education and related work experience.
• Two years of plumbing maintenance experience; State of Alaska Plumber Certification or License required; Valid Alaska Driver's License that meets North Slope Borough insurance criteria.
