Responsibilities
- Affixes and maintains copper pipe from ½" to 4".
- Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
- Works with PVC pipe.
- Uses power tools.
- Assists electricians, welders, and assemblers as necessary.
- Solves problems.
- Reads blueprints and follows standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
- Completes assigned tasks.
- Works independently in a busy environment.
- Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Works under pressure.
- Deals tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally with people.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial plumber, with a strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems.
- Shop work experience.
- Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred.
- Appropriate credentials and certifications.
- Ability to work shift work.
- Ability to work in small spaces.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Must be able to read blueprints and follow SOP’s.
- Must adhere to safety policies and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
