Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions
- Performs skilled plumbing maintenance, repair, and installation work in a hospital setting, ensuring system reliability and safety.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures, drains, and water supply systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, and water heaters.
- Assist with medical gas and hydronic system repairs under supervision.
- Respond to work orders and emergencies promptly.
- Install and repair water lines, sanitary lines, and related components.
- Read and interpret plumbing blueprints and schematics.
- Maintain tools and inventory for assigned work areas.
- Promote proper system testing, maintenance, and documentation in compliance with DNV standards.
- Complete all activities in compliance with codes and regulatory standards.
- All other plumbing duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- PREFERRED: Completion of plumbing apprenticeship or technical program
Experience
- Required: 3 years of experience performing plumbing work in commercial or institutional settings.
- PREFERRED: 3 years of healthcare experience
Position Requirement(s)
- LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Valid Driver's License
- PREFERRED: Post-secondary training or certification in plumbing or related field
