Plumber

About the role

This position will be responsible for both preventive and corrective plumbing maintenance work and minimal installations with our client.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
• Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures such as sinks, showers, commodes, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposals and dishwashers.
• Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals, clay, and plastic using hand and power tools.
• Conducts daily activities like drain cleaning, soldering, brazing, repair and installation of Drain Waste and Vent (DWV), installing toilets, water lines, P-Traps, repair of water leaks, repair/replacement of valves, faucets, sinks, etc.
• Completes all documentation required in compliance with CGL’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Conducts preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
• Performs work in accordance with established safety procedures and according to the standards of CGL Facility Maintenance, OSHA, and our clients.
• Maintains a clean and safe workplace while and after performing grounds keeping tasks.
• Provides training technicians in unlike skillset some basics of your trade; provide mentorship, oversight and direction.
• This position requires driving for the Company using either 1) a Company vehicle, at any frequency from Rarely to Constantly; or, 2) a Personal or Rental vehicle to conduct Company business more than 50% of the time to perform work duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) Required
• Preventive and corrective maintenance responsibilities; minimum 2 years’ maintenance experience in Plumbing for commercial environments. Required
• Must be able to work general trade problems.
• Must be a self-starter and motivated.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and able to work night shifts and be on call when needed.
• Ability to replace Automatic Sprinkler heads for sprinkler system.
• Must become familiar with the design and layout of the facility.
• Must be a team player, have strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to succeed while representing our firm with the best possible service to our clients.
• Reliable and dependable attendance and punctuality are essential for this position.
• Valid and in-state Driver's License Required

Pay

The hiring range for this position is generally between $27.98 to $35.81 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available for this role.
