About the role
At CBRE, you'll be part of a trusted team ensuring the integrity and efficiency of building systems across world-class properties. As a Plumber, you'll coordinate general preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and fixing of plumbing, mechanical, and distribution systems.
Responsibilities
- Repair, install, replace, test, and solve the water and medical gas supply and distribution system.
- Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber’s snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
- Support colleagues or external workers with projects or equipment installations.
- Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
- Offer training to additional team members for them to carry out minor plumbing maintenance and repairs.
- Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned.
- Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed.
- Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements.
- Finish the HSE programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc.
- Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish sophisticated assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Explain difficult or sensitive information.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
- Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required.
- Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Microsoft Office products.
