Responsibilities

  • Model and provide exceptional guest service
  • Train, mentor, and coach team members to succeed
  • Maintain budgeted comps and margins
  • Effectively resolve guest issues
  • Oversee daily execution and maintenance of prepared foods
  • Create menus, daily specials, and assign prep lists
  • Wear a cut glove and maintain a clean and sanitized workstation
  • Maintain all compliance logs
  • Manage department inventory and ordering
  • Meet deadlines for invoices, purchase journals, scheduling, etc.
  • Track team member time and attendance
  • Write and adhere to a weekly labor schedule within the labor budget
  • Prepare and administer discussion notes and written notices of discipline
  • Write and administer performance reviews
  • Be available for all special catering events

Requirements

  • Ability to model and provide exceptional guest service
  • Love of natural, organic, and specialty food
  • Passion as a chef with creative ideas
  • Ability to lead by example and set clear expectations
  • Minimum two years in a leadership position or equivalent experience
  • Able to oversee and train in all areas of kitchen management, including proper rotation, labeling, food safety, and sanitation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • ServSafe certified

Associate's degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
