PLOVER - Line Worker (35398)

About the role

Inspects, grades, packages using both hands to maintain an even production flow of products according to marketing specifications on a rotation basis on production line's conveyor system.

Responsibilities

• Estimate weight of product visually
• Verify count, look at, handle product as required by its nature to determine grade and identify substandard products
• Place rejected products and individual grades of products in designated piles, containers, or areas
• Add supplemental product to bring original product into specifications
• Report major breakdowns or problems to the line operator
• Notify Supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
• Assemble product according to customer specification
• Inspect and insert product at various positions along the line and discard poor product
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good manufacturing practices
• Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as provided
• Follow all plant food safety and personal safety rules and procedures
• Perform other duties and assignments as required
• Observe products moving quickly on a conveyor system for up to 3½ hours at one time

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and communicate effectively
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, round, compute averages and percentages, and interpret bar graphs
• Must be 18 years of age or older to work for Monogram Appetizers

Working conditions

• Required to walk, stand, use hands, fingers, and arms to handle, feel, and reach
• Regularly exposed to wet, warm, humid, and cold temperatures and loud noise levels
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds

Schedule

Extended hours based on production needs, including work after regular business hours and on weekends.
