PLOVER - Line Worker (35143)

About the Role

Inspects, grades, and packages products using both hands to maintain an even production flow according to marketing specifications on a rotation basis on the production line's conveyor system.

Responsibilities

• Estimate weight of product visually.
• Verify count, look at, and handle product to determine grade and identify substandard products.
• Place rejected products and individual grades of products in designated piles, containers, or areas.
• Add supplemental product to bring original product into specifications.
• Report major breakdowns or problems to the line operator.
• Notify Supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
• Assemble product according to customer specifications.
• Inspect and insert product at various positions along the line and discard poor product.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good manufacturing practices.
• Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as provided.
• Follow all plant food safety and personal safety rules and procedures.
• Perform other duties and assignments as required.
• Observe products moving quickly on a conveyor system for up to 3 1/2 hours at one time.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and communicate effectively.
• Ability to perform basic math operations: add, subtract, multiply, divide, round, compute averages and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.

Physical Environment/Working Conditions

• Regularly required to walk, stand, use hands, fingers, and arms to handle, feel, and reach.
• Regularly exposed to wet, warm, humid, and cold temperatures and loud noise levels.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Must be 18 years old to work for Monogram Appetizers.

This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.
