PLM Functional Consultant - Aerospace & Defense
About the role
You’re considering a Functional Consultant / Business Analyst role at Capgemini Engineering, supporting a large, complex Teamcenter-based PLM modernization project for a major Aerospace & Defense OEM. You’ll bridge engineering and manufacturing users with the PLM solution, capturing requirements, mapping functional scope, and validating the build.
Responsibilities
- Capture and structure functional requirements from engineering and manufacturing stakeholders.
- Map legacy PDM / process-planning functional scope (levels 0–2) onto Teamcenter capabilities.
- Identify and document augmented-engineering / AI use cases (AI-assisted requirements, change impact, work instruction generation).
- Document as-is / to-be processes - change control, configuration, BOM and work-instruction flows.
- Support configuration, test and validation of the Teamcenter solution against requirements.
- Collaborate across the onshore–offshore team (onshore core + offshore center), mirroring the client; senior band runs user workshops and leads scope mapping.
Requirements
- 2 to 10 Years of experience as PLM Functional Consultant/PLM Business Analyst.
- Requirements capture, documentation, test support.
- Owes functional areas; runs workshops; drives scope mapping.
- Leads functional domains, workshops and AI use cases; deeper Teamcenter expertise.
- PLM functional / business-analysis experience appropriate to the band (see matrix).
- Understanding of core PLM processes - BOM, change control, configuration, process planning.
- Comfort collaborating across onshore–offshore teams; strong stakeholder-facing skills.

Pay
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $73,150 to $174,000. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
