PLC Technician

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Houston, TX plant, contributing to one of the nation's largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications.

About the Role

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems.
  • Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problems.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, switches, and valves.
  • Fabricate parts or components as needed.
  • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and ensure efficient operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving maintenance issues in a timely manner.
  • Work on tall structures using a manlift, climbing ladders, and use safety harnesses.

Requirements

  • Business/technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • One plus years’ experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • Working knowledge of large machine operation and construction of infrastructure.
  • Technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, and electronics.
  • Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions and listen to understand points made by others.
  • General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and database systems.
  • Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions, and equipment manuals.
  • Diagnostic problem-solving techniques.
  • Detail orientation and mathematical skills to diagnose and solve problems.
  • Mechanical abilities and a demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication.
  • Valid driver’s license.
