Summary
Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery, equipment, and building systems.
- Tests and diagnoses malfunctioning machinery.
- Reviews diagnosis for proper corrective action with other maintenance workers such as mechanics and supervisors.
- Must have knowledge and the ability to perform various duties in the following industrial control software: RS Linx, RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5 and RS Logix 5000.
- Must have knowledge and the ability to perform various duties in the following industrial networking platforms: DeviceNet, ControlNet and Remote I/O.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain the following industrial networking platforms: DH+, DH485, DeviceNet, and Ethernet.
- Develops and fosters strong relationships with all maintenance department co-workers, outside contractors and vendors.
- Troubleshoots and maintains advanced controls such as servo, servo amplifier, and servo controllers.
- Performs installation, maintenance, and repair of all facility, grounds, and industrial power and electrical systems (low and high voltage).
- Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Diagnoses electric motor, motor control, and device control problems.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair sensors and solid state equipment.
- Able to identify and order parts and materials from manufacturers manuals and prints.
- Capable of communicating both oral and written instructions.
Food Safety Responsibilities
- Produces product free of contamination.
- Follows all Ken’s Foods Security and GMP policies.
- Reports any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant.
- Inspects work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; and risk of electrical shock.
